3x3 was a collaborative project celebrating the opening of the Performance Centre in Penryn, in association with Platform, Hall For Cornwall, and the Donmar Warehouse.
The show was a site-specific performance situated in the old Nunnery House at Tremough. It explored the ideas of journeys and the different ways in which you can travel to get to the same place. 3x3 was created through individual score-based work displaying the different methods of transport. Put together, these scores made up a fully emersive experience for the audience. The courtyard space became filled with washing lines full of train tickets, paper aeroplanes, plastic sheet waterfalls pouring out of windows, slow motion walking, performers emerging from suitcases, and water thrown from windows from having to bale out a ship. Some slow-off-the-mark audience members went home a little drenched!
